The hostel has 29 beds and sleeps 32
BEDROOMS
We have 7 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite (toilet and shower) and all bedding is provided. Every bed has a private reading light and all beds upstairs have a personal power point to power all the necessities. We also have a travel cot available to use free of charge - just double check it is available to avoid disappointment.
- 1 x 6 bed – shared mixed dorm – 2 bunk beds, 2 single beds – upstairs
- 1 x 8 bed – shared mixed dorm – 4 bunk beds – upstairs
- 1 x 2 bed – budget private – 1 bunk bed – downstairs – TV
- 3 x 3 bed – superior private – 1 king bed, 1 bunk bed – upstairs – TV
- 1 x 4 bed – 4 bed private – 4 single beds – upstairs – TV
The 6 bed and 8 bed can be booked for sole (private) use.
KITCHEN
We have a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, available for all guests to use.
- Free tea/coffee/hot chocolate.
- Instant hot water boiler.
- Large electric oven with 6 electric hobs.
- 2 large fridges (freezer in drying room).
- 2 toasters and a microwave.
- Lots of crockery, utensils, saucepans, frying pans, oven trays etc.
- Plenty of food storage space.
- Herbs & spices, cooking oil, cling film, tin foil - those little bits that just help.
DINING ROOM & LOUNGE
Adjoined to the kitchen is the dining room and lounge. We have two large dining tables with 4 benches and plenty of stools in case extra seating is required. An extra trestle table is available for larger groups. 20 can eat comfortably together, or 26 with trestle table.
There is also a breakfast bar with 2 stools and a long coffee table. The lounge has two lovely long sofas as well as bean bags. And for those colder nights there is a wood burning stove.
DRYING ROOM & LAUNDRY
To ensure you at least start off dry at the beginning of the day we have a drying room with a dehumidifier and a fan heater, lots of hanging space (at least 4 clothes horses) and plenty of newspaper to stuff your boots with.
We also have a washing machine and tumble dryer available for guests to use (£4 charge per machine, washing powder included).
BIKE STORAGE
Bringing your bike? At the front of the hostel is an undercover, locked bike storage area with plenty of space – we had 15 bikes stored one night with room to spare!
We also have an outside tap and hose available so you can wash your bike down.
